As the Lead Consultant, Joel provides strategic advisory services that help organizations integrate sustainability into core business operations, manage climate-related risks, and meet international ESG reporting standards.

With a Master of Science in Energy and Sustainable Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (Fisheries and Aquatic Science) from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana, Joel brings a rare blend of scientific expertise, operational sustainability experience, and ESG governance leadership to the organizations he supports. His professional work spans industries including aquaculture, finance, energy, agriculture, and development organizations.

He also provides carbon and climate advisory services, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon accounting, emissions reduction strategies, and carbon credit advisory and brokerage.

Beyond advisory and technical services, Joel is a passionate advocate for capacity building. He has designed and delivered ESG training programs for diverse audiences, equipping organizations and professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to drive sustainable transformation.

Joel is also skilled in energy efficiency and audits and his work in sustainable and renewable energy strategy and policy advisory further supports clients in transitioning toward low-carbon operations, while his leadership in green initiatives promotes practical, scalable environmental solutions drawing from his strong experience in Civil Society i.e COLANDEF (Community Land and Development Foundation) as a Programs Officer where he led several donor funded sustainability and CSR projects within the oil and gas sector.

He holds professional credentials as a Chartered ESG Professional from the Global Academy of Finance and Management, USA and is a Certified Environmental Impact Assessor. He is affiliated with the Global Academy of Finance and Management, USA serves as Chairman of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, and a Governing Council Member of the Institute of ESG Professionals – Africa. He specializes in leveraging data for impactful decision-making, combining deep knowledge of cash flow management, financial reporting aligned with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and data science techniques to transform complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. His experience in production center analysis, prescriptive trend analysis, and biological inventory management enables him to support businesses particularly in agriculture and resource-based sectors in optimizing efficiency, controlling costs, and improving profitability.

Daniel Kojo Hagan is a highly experienced Senior Geologist and extractives specialist serving as the Head of Extractives at TransVerde ESG Solutions, where he leads the firm’s advisory services across mining, natural resources, and extractive sector sustainability. With over 15 years of experience in gold exploration and open pit mining within Ghana’s greenstone belt, he brings deep technical expertise and operational insight to the integration of ESG principles within extractive industries.

Daniel has a strong track record in both greenfield and brownfield exploration, having successfully designed and supervised drilling programs across RC, diamond, and RAB platforms. His expertise in 3D geological and resource modeling, data interpretation, and target generation enables him to support mining companies in improving resource definition, operational efficiency, and long-term asset value. He is highly skilled in geological data management and QA/QC systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability for strategic decision-making.
